Despite the win-loss ratio not being overly favorable, I’m proud to inform you there has been a positive and exciting improvement - in what is a very young senior squad - from round 1 until now. The latest example being an unfortunate 1 point loss to Reynella, although tough to take, showed an improvement to the tune of 119 points from our round 3 encounter.
We have seen 40 players represent the club in the A grade side already and the overall depth has improved with the reserves having good numbers, being competitive every week & enjoying both training sessions and game days.
The club was also well represented at the association level in juniors, u21’s and women’s.
The connection between the seniors, juniors & women’s sides is growing nicely and provides a great base for a sustainable & successful family-oriented footy club.
As a club, we are lucky to have great support both on & off-field with awesome trainers, volunteer staff, sponsors, and committee people that do so much work to provide a positive club experience for everyone.
We’re moving forward!
During this lockdown the senior squad is staying engaged & connected via a daily challenge; some are fun, some are hard work but all are super competitive! It’s also great to see the Cove women & junior sides getting involved with their own games & engagement ideas
We can’t wait to hit the track again when it’s safe & hopefully finish off the season strongly.
